Environment degradation:

As the plastics are non-biodegradable so it will persist in the environment for longer time period and will cause pollution. There are strong intermolecular forces in the molecules of plastic due to which the plastic material is retained for long time in environment.

Harm to nature

The traditional methods, employs the use of plastics that contains harmuful components for the human consumption. When this plastics is not disposed properly, it leads to various disadvantages and pollutes the environment in a lot of ways.

Durability

Plastic materials have a short usage of life, when these are compared with the metals. The shorter life span is the reason behind the heaps of the plastic bags and the packaging boxes and other plastic materials that can be seen at various places.

Though plastic recycling is practiced but there is always some remaining, untouched and uncollected in the dump sites and wastelands. Plastics have the major role in the current pollution in environment. As these carry bags are light in weight, these can be easily flown away by the winds and thus collecting all the bags for the recycle purpose is next to impossible.
